John Russell Stoops
November 25, 1931 – January 28, 2017
John Russell Stoops, 85, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2017. He was born to Evelyn and Robert in Wilmington, Delaware on November 25, 1931. As a young man he became a proud graduate of Temple University. He was also a past president of the Lions Club of Plymouth, Michigan. Jack as he was known to many also loved watching sports that included football, golf and basketball. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Elaine Stoops, of Ocala, Florida; sons, Gregory Russell Stoops of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Gary Robert Stoops of Sorrento, Florida. Jack also is survived by his brother, Edward Stoops of Bluffton, South Carolina and a sister, Kay Leto of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. He also has four grandchildren who will miss him. He was liked by all those he came around and will be missed. Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to your favorite charity.
